Eco Bath London Ramie Bath Puff - Soft Body Scrubber Bath Sponge

I was so excited when I bought this. However, from the first use I was so, so disappointed. The material just doesn't work as a bath puff. When it's wet it's not longer puffy, it's like a bunch of wet rags that squish together to form one solid mass when washing. It somehow actively prevents soap from lathering, so I have gotten through my natural butter soap much faster than usual trying to load this up to get it to lather. I get almost no bubbles on my skin no matter how much soap Ive rubbed into this. Over all, I come out feeling less clean than usual, and a post gym wash with this just isn't doing the job, even coming out a bit wiffy still where this solid latherless mass just not get soap to the skin. It's a great idea, I had read about how bacteria filled bath puffs are, so when I saw this I figured it looked perfect for putting in the wash, but it's just not able to do it's job.

I wanted to try and find an eco alternative to the plastic-based sponges I'd been used to using, and this seemed a good option. I especially liked that it could be washed and re-used!

At first I was worried that it wasn't great at lathering shower gel/soap, but seemed to improve a little more after using it a few times. However! I did feel like I had to use more gel/soap overall than I normally would to get a decent lather.

Something I also wasn't too keen on was that, where the knot where the string is tied and cut off, I would often end up brushing that over my skin and it didn't feel particularly nice!

So sadly I didn't end up loving this.

Loved all 3, really luxurious, but eco friendly as well!
